@Adam RamseyThat is very true, and ashamedly not something I though of.I guess I should look more into keeping it solely in my name so the “rent” (income) at least offsets the mortgage (debt).

What a shame!

Others will say that the equities market is a sham and on rocky footing and to be avoided.To the former you should NOT use this to invest, to the latter you should absolutely use this to invest.My 2 cents:  I'd look into rolling this into an IRA on my next job-change and using a Self Directed IRA to invest in real estate. 

Just a shame.

It's a shame too because I would have been willing to work with them if they had chosen to be an adult and speak to me rather than just ignore my calls.

While out, empty the house, change the locks and give his sorry, greedy, lazy, no-good butt a shaming he won't soon forget.Go over your contract with PM and see where they would be responsible for errors of this type.

Is a shame how many of us trying to do the right thing and to have sense of community and good relationship with people has shifted just to "is just a merely business and all tenants are not worth it".  

We are SO close that it would be a shame to put in all this work and not make a deal.
