Hire a property management company who will manage it for you.

You have to make sure that whatever company you choose will maximize your profits. 

When they presented the opportunity to me, they showed me what countries want it licensed, what companies are interested and all of that.

If your escrow company allowed that to happen, you should go after them.

I would say they are a good company to go with. 

I own a mortgage company now that does both residential and commercial finance, but I spent years as a commercial banker with both big banks (First Union/Wachovia) and 2 community banks.

Not in San Antonio, but Scott Horne out of Garland is an expert and runs a title company.

Have your notified your insurance agent/company that you are no longer living in the property and that it's under renovation?
