I've found here in Birmingham Al that some management companies won't accept properties in certain areas.

Obviously, we're fans of Birmingham, since that's where we live and work, but truthfully you can get good returns in many places, though the South and Midwest are generally considered the big winners lately.My advice would be to focus less on market and more on people.

Hey Chris,I live in the Birmingham Al area.

It's a great area to live and centrally located; Nashville, Chattanooga and Birmingham are only a couple hours drive.

Here in Birmingham, I buy 10-15 houses every month and 90% of them are off the MLS.

We are also selling our home in Jacksonville in order to move to Birmingham and we do not want to reinvest in rental property but want to use the money to purchase a home for our primary residence.
