side, For STR, I would personally look around the university (MTSU) area (graduations, games, weddings, etc), or the Medical Center Pkwy area (transportation to Nashville, corporate Nissan/Amazon, medical personnel. 

Hi Ravi - while it'd be helpful to know more, like the others have said, I can tell you a bit about the downtown housing market and if you're looking for something in the greater Hartford, you'll have to give us more detail :) The downtown residential market is at 98% occupied and there's a lot of activity which suggests positive growth and more bodies on the street between the new public transportation system, two university moves into the central business district, the development of Downtown North with the new baseball team...the Yard Goats...please don't hold that against us, and a lot more residential units coming online in the next year - which is actually a positive for those people considering investing in residential because in urban environments like Hartford, residential markets follow an odd trend where the greater the supply of housing, the more greater the demand.

Never got an offer accepted, but I like those areas due to proximity to NYC and public transportation.

It is close to the public transportation, and it is 5 mins away from 2 major highways.3.

No 2nd car (impossible to take public transportation to work for 2nd roommate, due to distance). have only every seen 1st roommate. 

The ideal location would be a house in a great neighborhood, with great schools and easy access to public transportation.

Ford tells them that once he perfects the manufacturing of the horseless carriage, it will be the best mode of transportation ever invented.

Transportation can be good or bad debt.  

I could argue that I answer lots of questions with in-depth responses, have done a podcast, a book launch interview, flew to Denver paying my own transportation and hotel expenses and spoke for 3 hours at the conference (not to mention the time involved in preparation), and have almost 2,000 posts with just as many votes, and answer several emails a week from other members - all at my expense.

Tell them to focus on driving to the appointment so that they arrive there safely and a bit more quickly than testing while driving.Of course, if they are on public transportation, or being driven by somebody ...
