I believe the follow up to that is rents are increasing to cover the higher mortgage payments (due to both higher pricing and higher interest rates).The job market is good here which also helps and the rental market is tightening.

My guess is that it will tighten the supply of available rental unit, and will push the rent higher.I haven't read the wording of this policy.
