Before doing so I had been monitoring the price of the property via 3 online sites, zillow.com, realtor.com, and homes.com.  

Meanwhile, I monitored the temp of the old fridge with a thermometer for 3 days, and it was always at 4C .

You also might want to buy a plug in that monitors radon levels throughout various parts of the house.My sister-in-law lives in Massachusetts and the market is real competitive there.

I'm up there at least once/month, so I monitor the tank.  

If a tenant like this was indicating they were wanting to leave, I would closely monitor.
