I'm not sure if this has been discussed, or discussed lately, but Biden announced his proposal to almost double the capital gains tax rate for high earning individuals to 39.6%, and up to 43.4% for some.He has floated eliminating the 1031 exchange in the past, but I don't see that discussed in this latest proposal.I have a property with over $200k in capital gains in it.

Appraisal came in a little low, but overall very pleased.Worst part was I had to physically go to Washington D.C. because an error in their system with my application.In the end I got a $100,000 line for 10 years at 3.90% (floating rate), cost me $1200 in fees.

@Amedeo M. yes I hear you- numbers are tight everywhere but if I can borrow in the UK at 2-3% (albeit floating) that makes a difference to 6.5-7% for a US loan for US property.
