Third, I'd want to know if they do tax planning and are actively involved in estate planning, trust accounting and asset management aspects.If you get a positive response in all three of these areas you have a home run on the technical side.Gauge their ethical manner, their personality, would they be trustworthy as an advisor (you don't want a drunk and there are many).Know how they bill, ask about a quick question and any retainer fee and hourly rate.If they do not have the CPA designation (not really required) ask what their education is and what certifications they do have.

I've yet to see a single example of a quality trustworthy management company out here. 

My goal is to find my investing clients great deals, so they make money, I make money, they are happy and we continue to have a successful, trustworthy relationship for many years.

Most of the problems is not finding a good (trustworthy, honest) team of people.

@Doug Davis look at it from the other option of doing it yourself:1) How are you going to find trustworthy contractors?

You can figure out with them what you pay them but doing due diligence and having a trust worthy realtor is absolutely critical to protect your investment.

Once that is achieved how do I find a trustworthy property manager, real estate agent and contractor? 

They are the most trustworthy contractor I have worked with.
