My "roots" are Houston, Texas, but we have a pretty decent setup here in terms of life (especially with the little kids.)

I can tell you that I had my assistant manually go down to Franklin County and pull this data and it didn't root out much.

The title insurance business is deeply rooted in the industry.

Plus, big corps have already spread roots here so any big MF builds are coming from them for the most part.

I have roots in Pineville, but my family got out when the coal jobs just started drying up.

I have roots in Sandpoint. 

You still want to market publicly because there are many other people that rent month-to-month: people house shopping, corporate hires on temporary assignment, people between houses, people new to the area and not sure if they want to plant roots, etc.If you just market to traveling nurses, you'll miss out on a large segment of the renting population.

I've recently become interested in the Raleigh market now that my 62 yo Mother has decided she wants to relocate to that area this year (her best friend lives there and our family roots are about 1.5 hrs away).

If they were trying to buy a rental as an investment and posting on BP, many of these landlords would be rooting them on and telling them "there's a deal out there if you keep looking hard enough."  

If you do decide to continue being a landlord, it sounds as though you could use some advice about how to screen tenants, but your plan to sell the property is probably a better idea; it's hard enough to manage property that's close to home, never mind one that's so far away.Best of luck with it and good for you, coming to BP for advice...most of us have been in your shoes and we're all rooting for you!
