We are debasing the value of the debt we owe to our creditors, slowing the Chinese economy (detering imports), promoting exprots and our manufacturing sector - which we desperately need and encouraging investment rather than saving.It also makes foreign direct investment in the US more attractive to overseas investors rahter than buying our debt.The dollar will likely decrease further and remain low for sometime but it will come back.
