You don't have to sacrifice profit to learn.

Maslow's Hierarchy....Food, water, shelter are the basic building blocks of humanity and order, without them things like love, enlightenment, self-realization(the higher levels of the hierarchy) are much less likely to be achieved.Not only are we involved in providing one of those basic building blocks, it does not take a genius or a ruthlessly competitive person to eventually earn a high social status(wealth) from the fruits of our labor and sacrifices.

So, maybe the sacrifice, for now, would be to rent out your house and live with having tenants on the property, and build your nicer home. 

So I see a bunch of people on here suggesting you sacrifice cash flow when you increase leverage.

I'm not lessening the service and sacrifice of military members (like I told Lan, I don't know what it's like to go on deployment), I'm just trying to treat ALL people equally, and maybe service members will go to one of the million other property owners that have traditional 1-year leases and no move-in fees because maybe they will find that that is what works better for their situation.

How unfair to actually have to sacrifice to start out in life. 

Whether I try my hand a buy-and-hold (closest match to my personality/goals) or get my license and use the education I get as an agent to guide my investing, I see real estate as a way to satisfy my needs for autonomy and creative problem solving and to give my family the lives they deserve after so much sacrifice.

You will absolutely have to put in the time and make sacrifices in order to make it in this business. 

He also teaches about working hard and starting businesses or getting a second job and sacrifice to get ahead.  

When your "WHY" is so big, so strong, so internalized...you will sacrifice anything and everything to succeed.
