The BLS indexes for retail sales, new and used autos, food and beverage stores, restaurants and bars, building materials, clothing are screaming inflation. this is the highest inflation since the 1970s. the current bout of inflation was demand driven before there were supply shortages.

They outgrow their clothes really fast too.

When I first started buying homes in the mid 90s, I was in a laundry matt doing a load of clothes( because I lived in my rehabs and did not own a washer.

I have to change my clothes after each time I go outside due to all the rain, I wouldn't mind being in the Sunshine State for week or two!

Sometimes it's fun to do the things that are supposedly below my paygrade, and someday I will learn that I can't wear my "nice" clothes because I will always end up covered in job site dust.

Machine shops, mechanic shops, even clothing stores and restaurants will lose a huge part of their business. 

I wanted movie money, PF Flyers, records, clothes, a sting-ray bike, etc. 

I have always been pretty frugal and think some things are a waste (gambling or designer clothes) but some things are worth the spending (travel)  I was actually in Vegas this past weekend with some friends who were gamblers.  

I know that was pretty generalized, but I hope it helps somewhat ps, wear your nice clothes whenever your meeting an investor, realtor, homeowner or anyone else face to face that your talking to real estate about.

My wife has a small clothing business (traveling sales-doesn't sell from home) and I have started getting into rent houses.
