I occupy the 6bed 3 ba, but all I ever needed was 3bed 2ba,so was renting the remaing 3b 1ba in my unit to other roommates, it's more like an I law unit with it's own side entrance so it has been more than comfortable house hacking experience without any privacy issues so far.

The toilet and shower are usually not front and center as soon as you walk in the door, this is also for privacy reasons.

But it kind of depends on privacy needs, if the door is visible to living areas you might need better sound control than a barn door will provide.  

I realized I truly hate living with roommates due to lack of privacy. 

The reason I would be allowed to move down to a SFR on another OO loan was because I could claim that I was moving out for more privacy.

I forgot to mention that the PM has refused to share the tenant background check with me, citing privacy laws.

I also purchased all the materials to build a new privacy fence around the property ( on credit card ;) .the neighbor ended up buying the property from me before I put up the fence , materials where still included with the deal thought so I got out of having to pay a contractor buy ended up being a contractor ;)
