It sounds to me like your agent is just trying to make a sale from an unsuspecting out of state buyer.

They claim the unsuspecting buyers are not sophisticated enough to understand the process of due diligence, and--even though they qualify for the $5,000 price tag of the home under Dodd-Frank--they are unaware of back taxes owed, outstanding liens, condemnations by the municipality and the how much work would be needed to bring the property up to code--not just remodel it to their standards as the homeowner. 

They are just another fraud looking for unsuspecting owners and buyers!

You need to find the unsuspecting home owner that has no idea what their place could do on short term rental platforms. 

They prey upon unsuspecting people who are looking for a better for life.

There are legitimate wholesale real estate operations, and there are shady unlicensed individuals with no money who prey on unsuspecting distressed homeowners (often because they are taught to do so by some real estate guru offering a weekend seminar).

The job took about a week instead of the 3-4 original days due to her interrupting them, yelling at workers to the point they left early twice, and some unsuspected wood damage they found.

just call on unsuspecting consumers and convince them they can't sell on their own"...and voila!

Unless some unsuspecting newbie buys it and ends up losing money.

This business isn't about the number of units you own, flip, how many courses you've sold to unsuspecting newbies...none of it.
