I spent my time meeting w the local politicians, real estate agents, and contractors.

She would've been happy with a situation where the landlord could deal with the problem, but tenant privacy prevented them from doing this in a timeline that mattered to the other residents.General Rhetoric: I have yet to hear a city politician who ever sides with property owners in policy initiatives.

@Susan O.I think reaching out to CAA to see how we can help get through to the state politicians is essential.I am not certain what can be done about the stance of the city politics.  

Remember, our politicians and most well respected economists told us everything was fine in 2006...right up to the time it became clear it wasn't in 2007.

We need to make politicians and candidates - for local, state and federal offices - speak to the housing problem and commit to effective ameliorative programs.

As usual, when I make a point about how vacuous one of your beloved politicians is, your immediate response is to change the subject to Obama...

Bottom line: It does not matter what economists or politicians or gurus predict or pontificate.

The issue is the car dealer lobby is powerful and has deep pockets so they've been able to get politicians to make ridiculous arguments against Tesla to protect the interests of the dealerships. 

It's because the Empire grew too big and the Greedy Politicians needed more Money to keep Spending, so, they raised Taxes and Devalued their Currency by adding base metals to their Gold and Silver Coins until the population "woke" up to see that their Money was Worthless.
