Hey everyone, I’m trying to decide between purchasing a single-family home or a multi-family property for my first real estate investment in Detroit, and I’d love to get some advice. 

It's funny how you can fill your mind with education and then when the moment of truth comes and you have to decide it can feel paralyzing in some ways.Educating yourself is so important, and I think that the general education of listening to the podcast can serve as a great foundation.

Unfortunately, Covid decided to change my plans, and I made the decision to hold off, in hindsight it was a huge mistake and no one could have imagined that property values could have increased at such a high rate.

I am at an inflection point where I need to decide if I should try to sell or rent it due to possibly moving for a job change. 

I would be cautious buying in the saturated areas because there are so many similarly sized properties that price is becoming increasingly the deciding factor.
