I'd leave the floors but if you hate them just float a floor over them.other ceiling options would be tin tiles depending on size. or gluing wood inserts to the mirrors and paint those.

Wanted to float some thoughts with you all, My home is currently valued at $220k, originally purchased for $155k fifteen years ago.I have enough cash on hand to pay off the remaining mortgage of $120k and have a paid off home to either live in or rent out.   

A while back, I stumbled onto a thread where someone suggested using Dunn Edwards floating feather and a swiss coffee ceiling/trim combination.

They might consider taking out a HELOC loan to make repairs (hurting the equity they want), or floating the price with the realtor only to see it sit on the market for months and getting investor offers which the realtor doesn't want to accept.
