A rider allowing for using your owner-occupied property as a short-term rental for a specific/limited amount of time is very different than an investment property being used as a short or long term rental 100% of the time.Also, telling your home insurance company that you STR your home occasionally does not give you extra coverage for those types of risks, it simply means if your renter burns your home down the insurance company isn't going to immediately deny your claim.

If you provide your credit score, purchase price,  estimated down payment, property type, occupancy type and desired term, then most lenders should be able to provide you with their current interest rate, any associated points or lender credits for the rate provided, and their total origination fees.   

Curious if anyone has done that since land loans aren't great terms.

You spend a lot of time and money having people do this work, and at the end of the day you don't net any more income compared to a long term rental.

Moreover, it allows you to set the terms of the lease agreement according to your preferences, which can help prevent misunderstandings and disputes in the future. 

In my opinion, the national debt is a medium-term problem.

Doesn't change anything other than to keep in mind going forward.In terms of what to do, for some people the noise is unbearable, for others it may not.
