Do you own marketing or try to find a wholesaler to pair up with.  

There's not a lot of Alberta specific MF meetups because:Market size is smallMost investors think of condos/houses as opposed to multifamily (hence, less interested investors)Debt-financing is hard to come (relative to the US)Institutions are not as investor/landlord friendly (relative to the US)Lots of Canadians invest south of the border for all of the above reasons plus better returns/liquidity/currency diversification. 

When you print endless Dollars you are lowering the buying power of that Currency, so you have to have more Dollars to buy the same gallon of gas or hamburger in the end.

I've invested in South Africa, and are now looking at places with more stable currencies and specifically the USA.

From this post and others I've read I feel like my best option would be to pair up with a Realtor at least while I learn the ropes since I'm starting small.

At this point if you were able to find a partner that you can provide your effort as a means of currency you may be able to start investing in real estate.

That could be another non-traditional asset such as notes, crypto currency, etc., or conventional stocks, bonds and mutual funds.The advantage of real estate is that it is not purely an appreciation play as so many equities investments are.  

Ex: John was really well-spoken, Susie constantly interrupted me, Steve clearly had no idea WTF he’s talking about, etc.By calling 10 accountants, you’re “pairing them up” against each other, cross-referencing their information and getting smarter (and more confident) with each call.At the end of all your calls, you’ll be mentally tired, yes, but you just learned a ton! 

It was for a pair of Duplexes ,class D area . ( LOL ,Check us out trying to come out the gate in a blazing fire)The COMPS are $74 , Asking was $105K for one and $99K for the other. 

Have feasibility done by Integra. doing lots of legwork and talking to lots of people in the industry to pair up with the right ones now.
