Some people like the ego boast of being an author.  

Please don't perceive this post as boastful...it is not meant to be.  

I think 4 of my houses do and I have never had to replace a fuse for a tenant.Of course now that I've boasted that I have never had a call to replace a fuse I'll probably get a call today.

Everyone who owns a home went to a closing, they know cash isn't accepted, so saying I'll pay cash is nothing but blowing smoke trying to impress someone, when most people see boasting, fluff, puffing, or phrases intended to impress them, it's a turn off.

We didn't "boast" but let people figure it out in natural conversation.

I hear so many people seem to boast about how fast they get a property rented and I think that's the biggest mistake to follow that thinking. 

For us personally it gave us the boast to get started.
