We did our entire 4/3 2700sqft lake house with stuff from there.

I agree that the fractional vacation rentals should not be viewed as investments -- I see them as a way to own a lake/beach house that you can go do a few weeks out of the year (depending how much ownership % you have). 

We have a large lake house in the midwest that attracts multi-family stays from Memorial to Labor Day.  

Overall, around Flathead Lake has very seasonal occupancy, but if you’re a bit closer to Glacier NP and Whitefish Ski Resort occupancy is much better.   

They cannot see the forest for the trees....

Would love to understand pros and cons of being in Nekoosa, Wisconsin Rapids, Lake Arrowhead, Arkdale etc...Appreciate any insight.

Always know the trade-offs.If you do a long term rental and are OK with potentially weaker appreciation, your money WILL go a lot further in NE Raleigh, Wake Forest, Garner, Knightdale.
