Large complexes typically have a large common area, but not private outside areas for individual units.(6) If they get along with their 1, 2, or 3 neighbors, they can informally resolve guest parking issues, laundry hour issues etc...with large complexes, you don't know, the guy in front of you may have just washed a load of soiled cloth diapers.(7) Rent is lower, typically.

@Ryan Murphy, I don't see it as an advantage or disadvantage, nor would it factor into my decision from a development standpoint.If your're genuinely interested in the neighbor's lot, you might want to start planting seeds with them for that now... who's to say that they won't sell it out from underneath you should someone approach them about buying it between now and your someday?

Hello,Our property located in Fort Worth,TX had a foundation repair after which it was recommended maintaining a constant level of moisture in the soil near and under the house (by placing a soaker hose on each side of the foundation no farther than 12'' from the edge of foundation to water DAILY during hot and dry months).Our property management company wrote a letter to our tenant explaining this, however I can not guarantee tenant complies.

Asking a realtor would help yes (whether it would change your price point), what the neighbors have helps yes, the cost of running the gas pipe yes (19k is huge but it may decrease your sell price if the area is conducive to gas and you have oil), knowing where that tank is at--if it's underground you may need to spend another 1,200-1,500 for an inspection of the soil because it can be a nightmare if there is seepage (bearing in mind that once this happens you now are responsible for any contamination because you documented it)--all of these responses are hitting on the head what Sharon said.
