They are more open to discuss details about a tenant's behavior or the amount of repairs that were needed upon move out.I feel like I should be somewhat guarded when I get calls as the current landlord, as if a more revealing answer could come back to bite me...I answer truthfully, but try to keep things short.

It is wise to educate yourself in the buying process as well.For example, there are a few neighborhood stats that are not considered to be latent material fact that must be revealed by the seller or your real estate professional.

Feet on the ground may reveal more than Google Earth.

A simple google search with their name and the town reveals a lot.

Looking at statistics online can be somewhat revealing.

Also, the inspection revealed that there was a problem with Radon gas in the basement.

Either you're calculating it wrong or there is something not being revealed.
