If the counters are falling apart and look like crap you can maybe repaint/restain but you can replace a small kitchen cabinets for about $100 per lineal foot.

If they have been there for more than five years, they would likely need a new bath, reface kitchen, floors, and repaint.

the house would probably look better without the car port too . or shoud i keep the car port. its not too bad but couple boards may need to be replaced & repainted

I think you could re-paint the house white with a bright accent color on the door, add some shutters and maybe a gray or black trim paint on the window frames...

After getting a quote for the asbestos siding removal, as well as the siding replacement and repainting that is needed, I now realize I was in over my head and severely underestimated the cost to rehab a property with asbestos siding.

She then began to claim items that were not part of the contract that she wanted done (ie. repaint her interior, fix her floors, and repaint an addition). 

I would not repaint a entire wall.
