Business Expense Accounting for Gift Card Purchases
4 June 2014 | 2 replies
As long as you used the gift cards all up and promptly, I would probably staple your gift card receipts (showing you paid $90) to all your receipts of items purchased, and then just put it all in as one general journal entry with the $90 to your capital account (or if it came our of your business out of your biz checking account), and then the items you purchase multiplied by 0.9 either to repairs OR to increase the basis of the improvements which you would then depreciate.

You'd want to subscribe to some of the local business journals and see if they have free e-mailed newsletters so you can get a feel for the state of the market and long term rental viability...that's my suggestion, anyway.

Permit Nightmare for Rehab - Halpppp -.-
7 January 2020 | 13 replies
. - Ended up getting it months and months later however, I got word from one of the contractor's workers that he was totally putting off my job and most likely delaying the permit process on his own.A project were doing for a co-op in Journal Square JC - we got permits in 3 weeks, however, that is just for construction versus electrical, plumbing, mechanical.I would expect 2-4 weeks in a normal town but JC I heard can be longer depending on what your requesting. Also, in some towns if you tell them you're flipping versus applying as a homeowner it can take longer. - Also, if you're flipping some towns will make you get an architect to do drawings if you're doing a half bath or other things.

Wait what?! Filing for probate on a property abandoned 20 years

I've seen a lot of these filed against Sacramento county properties published in The Daily Journal 10-15 years ago but not as much as compared years ago which "maybe" it would seem like she had neglected the property.Regarding question #3, if your appointed administrator, it's going to take away from your personal life and your work life plus the fee's your required to pay for filing the case publication plus the leg work.
