In your case looking to larger assets where you can effeciently cost segregate to gather bonus depreciation would be a smart move.Appreciation - Where in the country is the asset class you like growing or going to be growingAmortization of the loan - What sector or even region if you look locally for funding, is going to offer the most favorable lending so that less goes to interest expense and more to pay down of principle.Have fun with a spread sheet comparing these 4 returns from your investment with the type and location of assets you find attractive.

There are a lot of groups out there right now that had made-for-TV track records that will likely not be in business in a couple years.Focus on the experience of the team, how long they have been in the business, how many market cycles they’ve survived, their philosophy on leverage, and how many properties they bought in 2022/2023 (a good answer would be few, a great answer would be none).And do yourself a favor and read The Hands-Off Investor (in the BP bookstore) before you invest a single dollar in a syndication.

If your goal is to acquire many units, consider looking into more affordable markets such as Akron, Cleveland, Dayton, and Toledo, which tend to be more favorable for this type of investment.

But with so many of these projects in motion, how do I know which is a good development, but not overpriced?

We want a camera system that:1) Connects to internet for remote monitoring via an office computer (not just a mobile device)2) Has motion-sensor alerts3) Records to the cloud, so a thief can't disable/steal the camera to hide their identityWe plan to remove these cameras once a property is rented and reinstall at the next vacant rental.Wi-Fi connection to internet is possible, but we'd also like to look into cellular connections to internet.What suggestions do you have please?
