A new member shouldn't be up sold the site's products when they are just asking for general advice from the forum; not what books to buy from BP. 

I've looked at a few of the sites and will reach out to them. 

They offer renters a unique option that feels like home but without the long-term commitment.A developer friend of mine in San Diego recently completed a BTR project on a former industrial site.

I see no value in it for evaluation.Realestate.com has always been a good site for accessing properties, but they do a poor job of evaluation. 

If you are just looking to network I would go the route of meetups locally (you can check above at the toolbar, hoover over forums then to the right you have events and meetups.If you are looking to wholesale and build a list of buyers that fix and flip for deals you may have then I would pull lists from 3rd party sites like Property Radar or propstream.

I am listed on 5 platforms plus have a direct booking site and I rank highly across my 5 listings.

This way, they’ll have a vested interest in maintaining high standards of management.To truly understand property dynamics and support the management team, I recommend spending time on-site.

I keep monitoring the properties in the Cleveland Heights area (where we are looking to buy) on Zillow and other web sites but I am sure there are other ways of finding properties.
