Don't disturb the occupants with multiple accesses for mundane reasons, come on.That being said, on a vacant property, I can't think of a good reason to deny an additional access to the property to take measurements.

I would have to agree with @Nathan G.The fact that the tenant didn't seem disturbed or frantic that her house was just shot up tells me she might know the reason the house was shot at.

In most cases, as long as you don't disturb it -- sand, scrape, cut, tear, remove, etc. -- then you don't need to worry about it.
