We have a sellers market and we have a buyers market, and rest assured the pendulum will swing the other way in due time. 

Just from what I have seen already I can assure you, it is not unreasonable to ask for detailed receipt.

In the past there were more options to get creative with seller financing etc to put down less than that, but now the primary lender in general won't allow this as they want to assure you have sufficient skin in the game.
