No to cats here because of the horror stories and I'm highly allergic and dont want to nearly die during monthly hvac filter changes and turn over.

Tell them you can smell the smoke and you're allergic to it and to please remember the lease says they can't smoke in the unit.You're going to want to end up kicking them out eventually, though, unfortunately. 

Considering they lived there for an entire year before this incident, no one can say for sure what she is allergic to. 

I'm allergic to cats and we do our own maintenance and repairs which is why we have a strict "no cat" policy.

I am biased against them as I am extremely allergic and to me nothing is worse than walking into a house with cats.

Best thing that I have done is to charge a monthly pet fee and then put in lots on language in the lease stating that they have to have the ductwork and any carpets professionally cleaned at the end of the lease showing a receipt from a 3rd party explaining the next tenant may be allergic to pets.

Every other lender I have asked (it has only been a handful) is allergic to the idea.

@Al RiveraThanks for the answer Al, I never even considered that.I actually did a little research online on what kind of food, drink, etc, that absolutely no one can be allergic to.
