smart man but an academic (i.e. doesnt deal with real world)...tell his results to all the individuals that have made millions investing in real estate.  

Right now I'm a 3rd year university student working a part-time job (25-30 hrs per week during summer and 15-20 during academic year).

@Marcia LangleyOur plan is to rent the house we're negotiating on for multiple uses - weddings, vacations, events in town, but also as a possible short term weekly or monthly rental for corporate or academic groups.  

Two approaches:1) learn the academic part.

As someone with a BA & MA  - there is value in the Learning, but academic Instruction is not a be all to end all.

I found a helpful academic journal that studies the consumer response to natural disasters.

I welcome any advice that anyone wants to share and I hope my research in the academic arena can provide some insight and value for others as well. 

I received a full ride athletic/academic scholarship, so I was able to use the money that would have gone towards college tuition to fund my investment!

I have tried a number of such gifts and people respond well to them.Behavioral academic research says that hedonic gifts, that is gifts with pleasurable associations, are seen by recipients as having more worth than cash of the same value.

My questions are probably very simple and somewhat academic.
