Having it done right gives you peace of mind on the audit front, you're not leaving money on the table, and the benefits will significantly outweigh the costs usually at least 3 to 1 but oftentimes it's 5 to 1 or 10 to 1 depending on the property. 

I know from my end, I've seen plenty of short-sale deals fluctuate by tens of thousands of dollars on the same property within just a couple of months simply because of some revised comps.As far as owning something 100% instead of leveraging it, there is the peace of mind that comes with having little to no overhead.  

More is not Better, Peace of mind is more important, and OfCourse eventually fully Cash flow positive with 100% equity. 

Especially the petty ones that are a complete waste of time, money, and peace of mind!

However, you are paying your home off faster, and for those that don't like debt and want peace of mind/SWAN, that's worth all the money in the world to them.
