Cathlamet Wa is a perfect example of a tiny town but underserved and I a sure the dollar store there does very well.  

When was the last time the weather stripping was replaced on the doors and windows or someone went around sealing the tiny window sill cracks with silicone?

They have a bigger single family home and a tiny home on the property, but there close proximity and shared driveway present functional problems that are undesirable for guests.

I have noticed a lot of investors are seeking out cities that are offering lower priced lots and simply adding a Modular or Manufactured and capturing a very nice cash flow.There is a new trend starting in Florida and in other states where an investor buys a piece of land or lot and add a 'Tiny Home". 

The only taxes I remit directly now are the tiny town tax they implemented of 1%.I just take my net income spreadsheet and calculate the 1% and give them a check.

I've also had guests buy their own TP and trash bags and leave the extra.As for toiletries, I leave the traditional "Starter Set" of shampoo, a little bar soap, conditioner, and lotion  (the tiny hotel bottles).

And one point the OP made about their credit.. only gurus talk about that.. by the time someone is days away from foreclosure their credit is trashed  having it actually go to sale will hurt a tiny bit .. but your not saving anything.
