Though there are certainly bad PMs out there, and certain things will be different (aka small charge for small fixes instead of weekend work) your property is your PMs inventory it is their business and a good PM would not treat it poorly since as soon as that happens their revenue stream would quickly dry up. 

@Dmitriy Fomichenko idea to use a non SDIRA is good but make sure they actually don't charge you or it is a small charge you can live with.
