I swear, in the mission district it's one step away from riots. 

You guys are a riot!

I do a cash out refi of my existing rental and buy 2 properties with the proceeds.Then the Ferguson shooting happens and riots start.Crap!

To do so with one property though, again I don't think is as effective/practical.If you're patient, you can even just wait for the next 'riot' and buy then when student rentals go on sale.

have a guy from the 'hood be a front man as to ownership,  so theyll bypaas your property when its time to riot...................

A guard is a trained professional who also has a responsibility to detect and report catastrophes such as fire, explosions or riots.

People looked at riots and businesses burning and protestors blocking freeways and deciding that making $40K less a year but having safety and 3 minutes to work was worth it. 

That stupid idea that you should find what you like to do and make a business out of it doesn't work, if you are a surfer/hippie in the middle of the Vietnam War, getting drafted and watching the counter-culture riots and demonstrations on the streets.

I used to defend PDX quite a bit .. but this current administration is a COMPLETE embarrassment  Took a year of rioting ( excuse me peaceful protesting) and unimaginable homeless camps filled with garbage Rats  intimidating the owners of the homes in the areas they are camping in.
