They want someone who is physically local that can be responsible for issues that come up.If you are required to hire a property manager anyways, might as well just pay them to do the tenant placement.

Once we identify a location that meets our criteria, we network with builders, property managers, lenders, insurance companies, CPA's, attorney's, etc. that service that area to have the entire team already established you need to be a successful investor regardless of your physical location or experience level.

I see some larger single family homes in areas that appear to be zoned R2 that, at least from a physical perspective, seem like they could work for this.

Eventually it might not exist if we don't reinvest in our local future.It just seems to me that it’s more rewarding to build a business as a local in a town, where the locals all know each other, and together we can revitalize the physical spaces but also build deeper bonds between neighbors and be proud of the community we live in and participate in making it thrive.

You can call the permitting office or a structural engineer you might use and ask them how long permits usually take.

Since we aren't in that state it would cost more because we can't physically be there to track projects, network for contractors etc.
