They claim they are religious (he is a youth pastor) and don’t smoke (but they look like the do) and image wise are tatted from head to toe and don’t come off like they say.

When someone offers to pay a large amount up front, it's typically because they are enticing you to not look deeply into their past, or they are trying to jump the line ahead of other applicants.

I would suggest that you go talk to the pastor to see what you can find out.

Here's another key...we usually want to see that someone has done similar projects in the past...or at least projects of progressively increasing complexity.
