Brush it on with an old, reasonably clean paint brush, leave it sit for a while, scrape it off with a putty knife.

I've gotten a bathroom sink for $20, light fixtures for $5, paint brushes for 10 cents, 4x4 tile for 5 cents each (brand new), light switches for 10 cents (even a dimmer switch for 50 cents), drawer knobs and pulls for 25 cents each, and so on and so on.

I am pretty handy with a hammer, saw and paint brush and I will do a healthy amount of the maintenance myself.I have several friends and acquaintances who have residential properties intended to rent to UoM Students, and I will be meeting with them to see how they have done over the years.

Hi @Jacob Tudor,I think I can help simplify this conundrum for you.You hired someone to do a job, and gave them the materials to do that job (your financial paperwork, etc, is the same as providing a painter with paint and paintbrushes).
