The investor loss incident being mentioned (flamingo las Vegas) is an event that has occurred in Q3 2020.

They have rented 20 others places without incident, only burned down 1.

I  started keeping an event journal to remind me of issues or unique incidents that impact the income/occupancy of each property, including maintenance block-offs. 

Document every incident and move on.

This person got let go weeks later of this incident.

But after an incident report that’s where it’s left at.

My question is, he's been clean for the past 15 years no criminal record before or after that incident, has now a fiance and has been living with her and her 2 children for the past 5 years, has a good income and good credit.

We had one incident where a tenant got divorced, mentally fell apart, received a dog as a gift and kept it locked in a bedroom all day.

However, with the frequent incidents and the persistent odor, even after cleaning, I’m beginning to wonder if this has become the norm for STRs in urban areas.Any advice or tips on how to prevent this would be greatly appreciated!

We just had an incident… a guest tried to steal money from the host , my mother in law -long story but lied stole cheated while staying and furnished finders will do very little to back you up, they’re like a hands off broker essentially, just do your due diligence and have good contracts in place, and research / background check really well if you use FFinders.
