@Greg Junge Depreciation is the key to showing a tax loss while still cash flowing on a property.If your partner's goal is to show a tax loss year after year, you're likely going to have to look for marginally cash flowing properties (think A properties in A areas, for example) because depreciation will have to exceed cash flow.After all, you still want to cash flow - I don't recommend investing in a negative cash flow property just to give your partner a tax loss.
