Stains may be yellow or brown and get darker over time.

And if I feel the flooring is in good condition, even if not new, when I’ve had applicants that didn’t like flooring color (usually use a darker taupe), I tell them that’s what area rugs are for.

Removing trees is expensive (trust me) and they do have benefits like shade and privacy.

I know there is palisade grass for shade, but these are more expensive.- One idea suggested is to put pebbles or small landscape stones.

After moving out, we re-stained the front porch posts with a darker stain (photo is pre-stain), replaced the front door, did touch-up painting on walls and trim, installed new keyed-alike locks on front/back door, and installed a vented bathroom exhaust fan that wasn't there prior.

You may also want to bring a flashlight to better assess darker areas, especially if utilities are off.

However, the problem is the paint stains will often show up as darker spots in the stain and can look unsightly.
