Some other pros would be weather, globally sought after, growing infrastructure across the state to accomodate high speed rail, space industry, we have several major airports, growing tech/medical industries as well as the ever growing theme park monsters that help to bring in about 70 million people a year here, we stay pretty purple with politics and very alternative lifestyle friendly, schools overall aren't great, but we do have some very good ones including prep schools/acadamy's. landlord friendly and so much more too!

Some jumbo lenders allow borrowers to close if the electrical, plumbing, and safety items are signed off with no flooring, then they can put in Calacatta purple marble if they desire or whatever odd finish you might not choose.

Buy green, sell purple, redeploy capital to dark green, and avoid dark purple like the plague.

If you're okay with average cash on cash returns but a good chance of appreciation, I would consider PG County - there is a lot of money going into the "Greater College Park" area, the FBI moving to Greenbelt, new purple line coming through, etc.

I am a US Army Purple Heart Veteran and full-time single father.

Last time I pushed the envelope I selected a greige that looked a tad purple once dried.  

That's not horrible compared to the glossy purple in a crazy cat house I was imagining...

In the last year, almost every building around me was bought and now high rises are being built around this purple line.
