So, perhaps hiring a couple day laborers to help them move or even paying the 1st months rent on a storage unit would be better.

All situations are specific to individuals.Our best wishes and empathy go out to those LA individuals and communities.It’s been about 6 years since one of our storage locations was flooded for about 4 months.  2 feet over the roof.  

The third was a program on Self Storage which was highly informative and I enjoyed through AJ Osborne.

They do everything from apartments to mixed-use to self-storage.

Gave the other tenants a smaller 250 increase and fixed up attic space to rent as storage.

We even got a storage locker to keep things I find but that became expensive, too 😊I'm now not afraid to spend a bit more on finding the design I'm looking for.  

Of course, the smaller the property, the more necessary that you see every inch of it because there isn't a business running on top of the land like large-scale multifamily, self-storage, industrial, and more.

For example, I have a subject property that has 1682 SF on the main floor and 810 SF of finished basement (the majority of which is about 8 feet in height with the exception of some bulkheads to hide the mechanicals) and 271 of semi-finished basement that is a utility room basically (washer/dryer, freezer, hot water heater, furnace, some storage).

Though he prefers to reposition existing multifamily properties, he has also subdivided land, built homes, and constructed self-storage.
