Alos, I haven't seen them but I believe there some co.s that actually install "private" meters to separate utility usage among multiple tenants on a shared utility.

There was on major repair on the water line to the house - wasn't an emergency, it had a slow leak, but that's been all in 2 years.Last fall the tenants didn't change the water bill over to their names right away so I got billed for their usage, which I normally should get refunded for.
