If they don't stop you can buy an Airguard or some other brand of marijuana detector alarm and have it installed in their unit.

The alarm bells are going off in my head! 

That helps with lighting, alarms, and having power so the property can be cleaned up to rent again.

I have had luck using a portable cellular-based alarm system such as Simplisafe.

Now, if you absolutely can't get a tenant where your unit is, who has a good credit score, so be it.But, when you start looking for reasons to rent to someone who doesn't actually meet your criteria - this should sound a screaming alarm, at least in your head. 

Once again, I know no one making money in Sec 8 who isn't handling much or all of their own maintenance, cleaning, renovations, and turns between tenants.If you're willing to take over this management, then I have to ask you, how many trapped but thrashing rats have you beaten to death with a 2x4, how many alarm calls have you responded to with a gun?

Just posted my first rental on zillow and im a little alarmed.

@Brandon Alexander You can do some of that today on properties you own with internet monitoring(alarm) systems and cameras.
