Read what Dawn mentioned, if you post in a restricted area you'll limit the responses, that's not to say posting profits or personal data can't be better done in a restricted area, saying if you want questions asked or analysis you might keep it more open, depends on how sensitive the information is.

The difference will be taxed at the current depreciation recapture rate and the remainder at whatever rate you fall into whether capital or ordinary, fed and state, and tax bracket sensitive.
