They did just put a dollar general up close to entrance of the resort, otherwise like you said its void of amenities.

A secondary entrance would help that, but I think I will bite the bullet and find the county zoning laws.   

In single family homes without shared entrances Ring, Simplisafe, etc seem to be great options.
