My personal opinion,  No its not authentic to waste anyone's time with BS bids. 

But the very least I expect for any accommodation, even a flea bag motel, is a real GD mattress! 

I will leave a bag of salt and a shovel for my tenants although I make it clear they are not responsible for using them. 

The bid amounts seem to start ridiculously low so that's what had me questioning the authenticity.
