I got a taste of it early on as a freshly minted agent at 18.. when my friends were making 2 bucks an hour I was making 1k commissions in 3 or 4 hours of work..

B class neighborhoods are a little pricey for my taste in Apartment Complexes and more difficult to find value plays, David Lindahl Style for my business model.  

The contents under the stones all taste the same to the worms.

A little bit too cold for my taste.

But now that I've had a taste of the sunshine there's no going back.

I know I can do the same, but that doesnt make it a tasteful practice. 

Neither is intrinsically better, only your taste.  

Sketchier deals, with low down payments on places that need work can be a multiple of that if thats your taste- but the administration is always a tad more expensive on these.

I learned about how the 4 ways to win, how to use my RSA, and Flip to Myself (BRRRR in disguise), but as others said, it was just a taste and a tease to get you to want more; I can do all that on BP.   

I'm sure there are people making great money running short term rentals in exotic locations around the globe, but there's too much uncertainty for my taste.
