Boulder pricing seems to have no ceiling and Longmont is an obvious spill-over market as more people realize it has many of the same benefits (access to the mountains, thriving small business community, proximity to Denevr etc.) and that their money goes much farther there. 

I look for areas with low crime, close to entertainment/foodie areas, ok schools, thriving business, high rents, good access to downtown where many young professionals want to live.
